Diet
Poor diet is the bane of the existence of the economically disadvantaged, but there is no out. Poor diet fed by poverty contributes to a vicious cycle of poor health and economic despair. Pop is cheaper than milk. Cookies are cheaper than fruit. Pastas are cheaper than meat. And while it's not unreasonable for some of those things to be the case, you can't then expect people with no money to make decent food choices when the better choices are priced out of their reach, what's not is carb-heavy and sugar-loaded, and even those may be out of reach financially.
