I have discovered the one true catalyst for insanity: A radio station that plays nothing but Christmas music twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, for the entire month preceding the holiday itself. I can understand a couple of jolly tunes an hour, a jingle here, a holly there, snow and tinsel, but not twenty-four hours of it. I don’t think anyone’s that enthused about any holiday that they could withstand such a musical onslaught and come out unscathed with all faculties present and accounted for. Is there even enough Christmas music out there to warrant such a practice?
