Treacle
Someone once told me a trick to seeing through frosted glass windows: smear a clear piece of plastic or glass with something like honey (or other viscous material) and apply that to the window. The substance will, ostensibly, fill the pits and make the window usable in the traditional sense. I've never actually tried this, and I've been dying to for at least twenty years now. I have a frosted window. I can get a jar of honey. I'm sure something flat and clear could be procured. I should make it a project, like introducing Americans to milk in bags.
