Create some functional bookmarks for your reading. This will be especially handy for books that don't belong to you, and will also double as a great way to document your reading, keep notes, and scrapbook/journal about it.
You will need:
- cardstock (for durability
- drawing/colouring materials of choice
- ability to print stickers (optional)
Do:
- Cut cardstock into bookmark-sized strips.
- Optionally print a sticker of the cover of the book and place it on the strip of cardstock.
- If you don't choose to do the above, label the strip with the name and author of the book.
- Decorate the bookmark to your taste on one side or one half of one side.
- Leave either one whole side of the bookmark blank, or one whole side and one half of the decorated side.
- Use the blank parts to write notes, keep track of quotations, etc. If you fill it up, simply put it aside for later and create another.
- When you're done your book, put your bookmarks into a journal, scrapbook, etc. so you can keep track of what you've read.
