You will need:
- Quilling paper strips (or strips cut from coloured paper)
- Slotted quilling tool (or a toothpick)
- Adhesive suitable for delicate paper work
- Tweezers (optional)
- Quilling board (optional)
- Shadow box or other surface suitable for displaying the pieces.
Do:
- Roll a quilling strip using the quilling tool into a coil or other desired shape.
- Secure the paper ends with glue.
- Manipulate the coils to create different shapes.
- Attach the shapes together and/or arrange them on a surface to create your piece.
- Allow the piece to dry completely.
Notes:
- You can use tweezers to handle smaller or more delicate pieces.
- There are quilling boards you can use to create more uniform shapes and sizes.
- You can attach your pieces to a flat surface or shadow box for display.
- Some items you can create: flowers, animals, drops, circles, squares, abstract shapes/patterns, and letters.
