Travel - Box/Frame
general journal junk

You will need:
- shadow box or a small box with compartments in it (like an old tea box)
- a selection of mementos, keepsakes, or ephemera from your travels (local or abroad), such as coins, shells, trinkets, etc.
- adhesives
- glue dots (optional)
- paint (optional)
Do:
- Place the items in the box for display, gluing down those that need it. Although you should probably affix them all in there if the display is going to be permanent.
- Use glue dots to affix anything you might want to move or swap out later.
Notes:
- You could also use a picture frame to do a similar project with flatter items like tickets, leaves, postcards, photos, or other ephemera.
- Collage makes a great frameable memento. You could create one using pieces of magazines, newspapers, brochures, maps, travel guides, and other flat materials that represent the places you visited.
- You could use maps of the places you visit to create a collage as a frameable piece, or as a background on which to display photos, notes, and other ephemera from your journey.
- You might want to paint your box or frame before putting your collection in it.
