You will need:
- watercolour paints
- watercolour paper
- brushes, preferably large
Notes:
- There are several methods of doing a wash and gradients, including how to achieve a seamless, full-page wash. You can find these videos on YouTube.
- Can be deliberate and controlled or done in a more uncontrolled fashion.
- Often used as a background for more detailed work, or to fill large spaces.
- Can be used wet in wet to create more flowing and uncontrolled effects.
- Use salt or drops of rubbing alcohol to impact the effect.
- Can be used to create colour field paintings.
