Wisdom

What are the things that contain the most wisdom to you - the books, quotations, experiences, people, and so forth. Write about them, or paint, or collage, or photograph, and how they've impacted you, what value you found in them, what things you hope others can learn from them or simply appreciate.

For me, one of the things that has given me the most value is a saying an old acquaintance mentioned to me:

"Take what you want," said God. "But pay for it."

I'm not a religious person. In fact, I'm quite the avowed atheist. But that phrase taught me the value in making choices and not being limited or hampered down by the concept of regret. In fact, regret is part of the price you choose to pay for the chance to have certain experiences. Take it on, and don’t see it as something to be avoided.
