Little wonders
Original composition date lost - pre 2008 | journal
Little moments are precious things; like nights in the stars with strangers, like coming across an unexpected beauty spot in a hidden corner of the city where you live, like warm laughter for any reason. But those things don't come if you don't help them come, and those things are truly the spice of living. They are what you remember later on, when you look back on your personal history. You remember that unexpected moment of kindness from a high school classmate you didn' think even knew you existed. You remember a stranger on a bus paying the fare of the obviously lost tourist. You remember the flowers given by a man in a market.
We've learned to think that all great things come in great packages, but they come in those small packages, and the small packages all add up.
