What's your favorite method of travel? Why?
It depends. When I'm going somewhere for a business or purpose, I want the quickest method possible. If I'm actually travelling, I prefer the train.
I've always loved train travel. One can get up and stretch one's legs while the vehicle does the real work. I find that train travel breeds a method of comaraderie that other methods of travel don't - perhaps partly due to the existence of things like bar and restaurant cars, and also due to the fact that if you're going to the coast from the centre of the country, you're going to spend a couple of days with the same group of people.
I like the smell of trains, the way they move, and the fact that the air isn't recycled.
Also, train food isn't too bad. Can't say that for airplane food.
