Me Too

- I have had an old man who lived in my grandmother’s apartment building approach me, say inappropriate leading things to me, give me his number.
- I have had a man stop his car at the curb while I was walking home from work at night, and ask me to get in for a ‘ride’.
- I have had a man grab my boobs while I was at an open mic at a local pub.
- I’ve had drunks of varying stamps hit on me in varying ways.
- I’ve been called names, and been otherwise insulted, for refusing come-ons.
- I’ve had a taxi driver hit on me with offers of wine and coke, because he wanted to come over "for the evening", while I was in the back of his cab.
- I’ve had a man tell me he only talked to me because he knew the friend I was with wouldn’t give him the time of day.
- I’ve had people tell me that I should be grateful for some of the above, because at least it meant I was getting attention.
- I’ve been told I should lighten up because I don’t find it all hilarious.
- The number of men I’ve heard talk about how "all women have rape fantasies" or "all women want to be strippers" is unbelievable.
- I’ve had a man put his hands all over me because he was trying to use me to hurt an ex-girlfriend.
- I’ve spent years of my life being called a stupid cunt by the male in my life most responsible for protecting me.
- I’ve had that same male relative try to sexually abuse me.
