Give it to me straight, Doctor. I can take it. (Bonus points if you can source that)

I realise that there are some folk out there trying to work themselves into an unfounded freak-out regarding potential side effects of the current selection of COVID vaccines.
Some thoughts.
- As far as I can tell, the folk that have had reactions to the vaccines had pre-existing conditions that should have put them on the list of people who legitimately should not be taking the vaccine to begin with.
- "I don't know what's in it so I'm not going to take it." But you'll wear makeup, use toothpaste, suck back aspirin, wear perfume, drive a fossil fuel-burning car, wash your hair with commercial shampoos, and eat processed food. Do you know what's in any of those? Nor do I, and I can read labels. Also, as one wise person pointed out, "You won't take the vaccine but you'll put unwashed dick in your mouth."
- "They're going to microchip me." People have been spewing that malarkey since flu shots started. Believe me. I've spent years hearing it. Also, I never not have my cellphone on me. If the government wishes to track me and spy on how much Candy Crush I play, have at it. A cellphone is a much easier way to track someone, and the government wouldn't have to lift a finger or pay a cent for it. We do.
- "My body. My choice." Not this time, Anti-vaxxer Karen Barbie. It's your civic responsibility to make the world as safe as possible for the group. If you want to go without shaving, be vegan, go off grid, vote Cuntservative, homeschool your kids, go to church, or read dime store novels, go to it. Those things are your choice. Vaccinations are a protection for the herd. Understand, though, that if you wish to my-body-my-choice your way out of any vaccine, I will lobby to ensure that you get denied visas and/or passports.
- I have never been allergic to, or had a reaction to, any medication or vaccine I've ever taken since I could crawl. I've had multiple MMRs, TB, several flu shots, inject myself weekly with Ozempic, had an uncountable number of medications, and nothing - unless you count the constipation caused by the Ozempic. I live a five minute walk from a hospital, three walk-in clinics, more doctor's offices than I could name, and at the very least a half a dozen pharmacies. Should I have A Side Effect-Induced Situation, I think I can find help reasonably quick.
- The vaccine causes sterility? Well, I had a voluntary lap tubal when I was 28 because I didn't want children so had myself rendered copy-protected. Also, I'm most of the way through menopause, sooo...
If it wasn't clear, let me elucidate. I intend to get whichever vaccine is most easily available the very second my grouping is okayed to go get vaccinated. That's April for me, I believe. Will report back on whether or not I grow a second head, third arm, animal parts, or get anally probed by aliens in surgical onesies.
