Music says a lot about the person who listens to it. A friend of mine once theorised that two people with very disparate tastes in music couldn't get along on an extended basis, because they wouldn't share the same world view, views on people, the same philosophies of living. I think, to a degree, she's right about that; but it all hinges on just how important the music is to you.
Me? I can't live without sound. That is to say, that if I lost music, I'd pucker up and rot like an unwatered houseplant.
Sometimes I feel a great deal for what I'm hearing, other times it's just background noise; but all in all, it's very important. An ex of mine cemented the need for music in life, as part of life itself. Stands to reason, does it not; since we begin life on a beat. The heartbeat.
