Communication is the father, the mother, the seedling, the husk, and the invisible glue that binds all relationships together. Without it, there is neither trust nor the beginnings of love; neither friendships nor the deepening of any relationship.
Talking is not enough; though some think it is so. Some think that talking and communicating are the same thing. They aren't. Communication is equal parts talking, listening, honesty, thinking, consideration, and willingness.

I think, when it comes right down to it, that most folks are so overly saturated by media and information that they become immune to communication. The skin that once allowed the osmosis of information has now become so lichened over with eyecandy, and earcandy, that nothing can seep through anymore.
