What was your most favourite t.v. show as a kid?
Doctor Who, hands down. I'm an immense Tom Baker fan. I don't know what got me hooked, but I was intensely devoted to it. It truly began a love affair with science fiction and things otherworldly. I don't think there was any real amount of escapism going on, I just didn't seem to like the same stuff that my peers were into. They'd run home to watch Happy Days, and I'd run home to the Doctor.
Perhaps I could see myself in the Doctor's world a lot more easily than I could in anything too closely related to current reality. It gave the proverbial fire to my imagination.
