I saw the most amazing phenomenon the other day. A fog layer over the city, a cloud layer above that. In between the lightning flashed, but the fog diffused it, making it fuzzy, less like streaks and more like elongated flares. It was too lovely to equate to something frightening, but it reminded me of the green-tinted photography we got of bombs going off in the distant Iraqi sky during the first Gulf War. It rains when the sun shines, lightning when it's snowing out, fog that makes the sky look pink or yellow. We should look up more often.
