He asked me for a dollar. I had it. I gave it. I haven't questioned giving money to beggars in a very long time, and suspect I never will question it again. He had such a sad face. Maybe he just looks that way. Maybe he's a good actor. I don't know, and it doesn't much matter. I handed him the coin, wished him a good day, and went on my way.
