It's amazing how you can forget so much, so easily - names, places, what you ate for lunch. But how some things do stick - like names, places, and what you ate for lunch four years ago on a Thursday. I just found myself poking around the web looking up people whose names you'd think I'd have forgotten. I never find any of them, but that's not the point. Why do I remember these names? Why do I remember that the morning we flew to Nova Scotia when I was seven, that I drank orange juice from a dark blue plastic cup?
