Well, that's something you don't see pop up in everyday conversation.
It may not be so obvious of late, but I do have a fondness for words - unusual words - all words. I like the way language works, and doesn't work; I like the way we evolve our communication; I like the variety of the English language.
I don't use five-dollar words in my writing much, not unless it's called for. I like plain language, sometimes a few too many adjectives, but usually only when I'm trying to be funny or when I'm pissed off.
Language, words, are the most precious gift we have as humans, I think. It's a pity more people don't make better, or wiser, use of them - and often abuse them more than they cherish them.
