There's a lot more Post Traumatic Stress involving closet monsters than I had ever imagined. I had one, but it lived under my bed when I was eight or nine, and was caused by Disney's film Blackbeard's Ghost.
Don't ever let anyone tell you that Disney movies are
harmless.
For ages after seeing that film I couldn't walk right up to my bed if the lights in my room were out. I'd get about a foot away, and jump on. I figure that if I had a closet monster now, it'd probably look like the Hooded Fang, or Winston Churchill.
