Blue by you

I used to have this cameraphone with the most horrendous blue cast on all the photos, but when you ran the images through a "fade correction" filter, or something similar, it would do the most wonderful things to the colour and shading - some would look old, some lomo, some all shadowy and rusty and such. I loved it.

After I stopped using that camphone I missed the blue cast and what it added to photos after filtering, and had no idea how to get that effect again. A few suggestions were made that did not work, but today, totally by accident, I found a way to do it with my Canon that does work.

If, when taking pictures outdoors, I have the white balance set to tungsten, then running those images through the fade correction filter will get much the same result as I got with the camphone - only the images are less pixelated and much sharper.

I'm a happy shutterbug today.
