Making resolutions at the new year never felt right for me. Somewhere in my head I guess I have thoughts of making the new year better, or using it as a new start, but I never make those promises. They always seem so forced and empty. I figure that if you can't start something new when you need to start it, then the promises you make on New Year's Eve are doomed to failure, or doomed to untimely pressures. Mind you, New Year's Day and birthdays are convenient times for new starts, beginning new projects. The date as tabula rasa.
