I was just reading an article on the dangers of the over-positive change your attitude mentality that seems to be gripping the bowels of so many these days. Are there pluses in trying to put as positive a spin on your situation as you can? Sure, but there are some things that you can't think your way out of, and it's those things this group seems to have no respect for.

The worst aspect of the the glittery unicorn fart army, is their penchant for making people feel bad about feeling bad, and making them feel worse for expressing how badly they feel. It's okay to feel bad sometimes. It's also okay to talk about it. Anyone who shits on you for feeling like shit, IS a shit, and needs to embrace the concept of being a lot less sanctimonious.

I've been on the receiving end of the rainbow fart army rifle, where I've been told that everything that's going wrong in my life is all my fault, and that if I'd just think happy thoughts it would all sort itself out. I've also been told that I don't warrant someone's friendship because I'm not shitting positive Care Bear you-can-learn-something-wonderful-from-me-every-day platitudes.

Hmm. No.

If that's the yardstick by which you measure people, then your world is very small, stifled, and unforgiving.
