I've been in the position of having to go to food banks. I won't go into how that made me feel because if you've had to do it then you know. You always end up with some very odd things or things you had no idea what to do with.
I remember once encountering someone else who'd been on assistance talking about how they were making flavoured iced teas with the fruit-based hot tea bags they'd gotten from the food banks. I thought that was an incredible idea, and it occurred to me that it would be helpful maybe if food bank providers could offer tips like that to their clients, ideas on what to do with the items they got, especially the hard-to-use items.
