I bought one of those daytimers in B5. Because it was green.
Really, I have zero desire to do bullet journaling because that looks like a psychosis waiting to happen. It just seems like a very bad way to bring out your inner OCD. I did, though, need to find a way to use this daytimer because I couldn't return it. I came up with some things to keep track of, like my blood sugar and what I ate to make that blood sugar happen, a list of what bills get paid out of what accounts, a list of my various digital subscriptions and bills, notes for phone appointments with my doctor, and so forth. Some of this behaviour I'm finding actually useful, and the planner itself is now a handy place to store papers I need to keep track of that used to end up wherever and eventually lost, but it really has left me wondering why people put so much effort into bullet journaling.
I just keep lists of things. No indexes, no fancy drawings, no stickers, no patterned washi tape. As much as I love colour and clutter in some ways, I'm somewhat of a minimalist at heart. I don't want to spend hours decking out the daytimer because all that decking out just gets in the way of the data. The most decor there is is highlighter to colour up the page titles some. It's very low key in there. What did happen also as a result of this whole "what the hell am I going to do with this thing" problem, is that I was forced (not really) to confront my blank notebook problem (not really a problem). I buy the book because it's neat, but I never do anything with the book. Now, now I have this:
Any thoughts on what to do with the now 60 rolls of washi tape (each one colour) I ended up with because colours would be greatly appreciated.
