I acquired a method of (so I'm told) contacting MPs directly that bypasses their office and goes straight to them. I took advantage of that to contact the Prime Minister regarding some topics of significance, import, or interest.
Because he's a busy man, I thought I'd make my points simpler to follow so as not to crowd his time more than is necessary.
- Talk about disability like it exists, because it does.
- Create a dedicated disability ministry.
- Remove all gatekeeping restrictions placed on the CDB.
- Bump the amount of the CDB to a non-means-tested or scaled $2000 per month.
- Consult with Mike Morrice and Bonita Zarrillo regarding all matters related to the CDB.
- Put these two in charge of the new disability ministry.
- Stop treating Israel like it's in the right on this situation and take them to task in a way that looks like we have moral fortitude in this country and actually care.
- Offer immediate refugee status to all Palestinians.
- Drop aid for all people in Gaza.
- Expropriate all corporate-owned housing and distribute it to homeless and under-housed people.
- Expropriate Telesat and turn it into a crown corporation and replace all Starlink contracts with Telesat.
- Start a robust process to turn more work into task-based labour instead of time-based.
- Expropriate the Loblaw corporation and use its resources to create both a nationalised grocery chain and federal-level healthcare strategy that addresses, initially, the mountain of shortfalls at the provincial level.
- Make education for healthcare workers of all levels completely no-cost.
- Create healthcare education apprenticeships, and not only fully cover the education, but also offer stipends to those studying.
- Create a program by which foreign-trained healthcare workers of all levels can expedite getting certified to practice in this country without having to go through unnecessary hardship to do so.
- Create residency programs at all healthcare levels to achieve the above.
- Fully subsidise this education and offer stipends to those in training as well.
