wandering around taking pictures of things,  tweezers,  milk chocolate,  the "what-if" scenarios of Sliders,  fish and chips,  my copy of Godel, Escher, Bach: An Eternal Golden Braid,  bad jokes,  when there's enough of something,  when I was in love,  genuineness,  people who are upfront and honest,  used book stores,  living up to expectations,  ancient ruins,  the chewy nut parts of whole grain breads,  trains,  blueberry jam,  having put aside old differences, and the friendship that's come of it,  Terry's Chocolate Oranges,  self-examination,  Banana Daiquiris,  vodka cocktails, sublime moments,  bacon,  harmonies,  Lite Brite,  Lego,  coloured pencils,  cream cheese,  real Canadian maple syrup,  cheesecake,  the smell of a wood fire,  good water pressure,  lava lamps,  Dixieland jazz,  Philly cheesesteak sandwiches,  lemon and lime scents,  bawdy songs,  a good hug,  when I come up with a really nifty creative project,  being unfettered,  dreams,  journals,  Greek and Latin names for things,  casual conversation,  diner breakfasts,

human warmth,  inside jokes, but only when I'm on the inside, and am not the joke,  movies with Gregory Peck in them,  pine trees and pine cones,  tetra-packs,  feeling relaxed,  dark-haired men,  the feel of soft leather,  a cold bottle of iced tea on a hot day,  scratching an itch,  the colour of sky at dawn, when it's just greyish,  the observatory at Greenwich in England,  soft jazz,  the myriad colours of gasoline puddles,  comfy chairs,  when dreams come true,  spontaneous bursts of song,  greasy cheese,  when my lightbulbs burn out during the day rather than at night,  feeling accomplished,  when things work right the first time you put them together / set them up,  tangrams,  how corn kernels and peas pop when you pierce them with your teeth,  the smell of clean laundry,  haphazardly stacked books,  traveling alone,  books,  the horrible food at Taco Bell,  old Hollywood musicals,  getting drunk,  peacock feathers,  my entire collection of knick-knacks, odds and ends and doohickeys,  diversity,  mushrooms,  attention,  weird hats,  snow drifts,  some home decorating and improvement shows,  the colour of the ocean near where I was born,  the aesthetics of numbers,  packing tape,  sticky notes,  hot showers,  floating in water,  the triplets number from The Bandwagon,  tiger lilies,  really good chowder,  comfortable clothing,  ice cream,  my blankie,  symbols and symbolism,  philotaxis,  blueberry pie,  freedom of choice,  the look and texture of brushed metals,  when my skin feels clean and fresh,  strangeness,  Northern Irish accents,  enthusiasm,  initiative,  the flexibility of the English language,  Key Lime pie,  the fact that the "bh" combination in Gaelic is pronounced as a "v",  approval and recognition,  being Canadian,  when people remember some obscure, quirky factoid about me, and use it to do something nice for me,  the day in spring when I can first go without my winter trappings,  the sounds of Muslims chanting at prayer times,  garlic bread with cheese, green peppers, and mushrooms on it,  being debt-free,  grokking the other,  blowing bubbles,  stainless steel cookware,  a comfortable place to sleep,  the smell of freshly baked bread,  my collection of blue glass objects,  green tea deodorant,  impromptu fun,  exuberance,  drawing in the condensation on window glass,  pi,  people who are honourable,  when I feel just full enough,  the oft overlooked artistry of album covers,  when I don't have to break the ice and make the first move,  Tao,  my birthsign, Virgo,  fast food,  cucumbers,  irony,  loud music,  postcards,  comfort films,  the first mouthful of a really good cheesecake,  a deep laugh,  surprises,  the smell of cloves,  good beer,  sarcasm, but not when it's misplaced,  the thought of getting into a sensory deprivation tank, even though it also frightens me,  lipstick,  gritty facial scrubs,

people who are good with words,  having a fuss made over me by the right person at the right time,  hearing songs I used to love that I'd forgotten existed,  the colour purple,  soy sauce,  filet mignon,  rare steak (not blue),  Cafe Irish Cream,  the covers of Echo & the Bunnymen albums,  text messaging,  glass brick walls,  synchronicity,  the patterns made on pavement as water evaporates off it,  crayons,  unusual art,  lemon,  the feeling of carpet under my feet,  feeling useful, to myself and others,  the smell of grapefruit,  Uluru,  TicTacs,  clean teeth,  my roller-skates,  distant music,  dill pickles,  lime green purses/bags,  the trillium,  cleaning windows,  banter,  a really good hamburger,  clever turns of phrase,  trivia,  melody,  the feeling of crawling under warm covers on a cool night, when you're really sleepy,  Trivial Pursuit,  Yul Brynner,  the colours of leaves in autumn,  cozy blankets,  the art of true giftgiving,  bright light,  the way people think,  marbles,  corn bread,  suede,  taxi rides,  watching Formula One,  Jethro Tull's Wond'ring Aloud,  post-it notes,  that bite feeling of pounding nails into a piece of wood,  cleanliness,  puns,  the reflection of coloured lights on snow,  big fluffy pillows,  being right-handed,  puzzles,  green tea cologne,  sponge-filled pillows,  city living,  faith,  homemade soup,  cozy dimness,  celebrating unusual holidays,  enough sleep,  onion rings,  Alfredo sauce,  Tai Chi,  soul-searching,  the feelings you get from the standing stones at Avebury,  egg salad sandwiches,  showers,  a hot cup of tea on a cold day,  alphabets,  paper umbrellas,  cameraphones,  the clever twists of language in The Who's 5:15,  pea soup,  Blue Man Group,  dancing,  Cary Grant's delivery in North by Northwest,  the Abbey of St. Alban's in England,  the push / pull of g-force on the body as a plane takes off,  anarchartists,  overcast skies,  bargain stores and junk shops,  vacations,  trust,  lightly buttered toast,  hugs,  black pepper,  the unknown,  poetry,  the smell of raw pepper steak,  fever dreams,  white gold,  Rickard's Red,  goatees on men that they suit,  how Andy Partridge sometimes comes up with the perfect little melody, perfect little harmony, and sings them both in simplicity,  elevators (never underestimate the allure of an elevator until you've lived in a walk-up),  toast,  my hair,  being trusted,  compassion,  being human,  people who use the language well,  Dune,  dumb jokes,  colouring,  clean HTML,  baby carrots,  the versatility of the word fuck,  dignity,  being around someone you know for certain is enjoying what's going on as much as you are,  the smell of cooking onions,  when I learn a Truth,  yards with trees in them,  climbing trees,  a seriously good mindfuck,  captivating situations,  fresh air,  gradient effects,  spoonerisms,  The Prisoner,  people who can spin a good yarn,  runic carvings,  the number three,  palindromes,  evening's promise,  the Oxford English Dictionary,  snow drifts that melt into peculiar shapes,  swordplay,  subways,  sharing,  late-night walks in pleasant weather,  navel oranges,  seedless green grapes,  philosophy,  inspiration,  spinach,  green olives, with or without pits and or pementos,  the fact that I don't feel old,  satiation,  very early Kinks,  laughter,  mathematical constructs,  warm sand,  the concept of infinity,  surprise phone calls from friends,  my dead blowfish,  black ink pens,  the combined music of fiddle, tin whistle, and drum,  my purple hat,  the fact that I'm spayed,  fresh pizza,  enough light to read by,  an appreciation for slacking off,  shades of green,  contentment,  Shakespear's Sonnet 116,  the sounds of wind in the trees and rain on the streets,  a good cuppa,  like and watch Pauly Shore movies, and I don't care who knows it,  people with a quick wit,  happy days,  the microfibre cloths the oculist gave me to clean my glasses with,  the sound of certain words when they're spoken aloud,  baked potatoes,

enlightenment,  the smell of juniper,  Pink Floyd,  celebrating Pi Day, with pie,  Caesar salad,  leaf-scuffing,  tattoos,  "just because" moments,  colourful underthings,  pre-Octopussy James Bond films,  chocolate pudding,  not being broke,  text adventures,  constrained writing,  squishing clay,  sucking the meat out of lobster legs,  learning to curse in other languages,  the slow, lazy coming awake feeling after a good sleep, to a day when you don't have to face rush, fuss, or bother,  compliments that I can connect with,  scarves,  blank notebooks,  silly poetry,  the Ode to Joy,  motorcycles,  the Snack Fairy,  the unbearable lightness of being,  yellow highlighters,  good fights,  some parts of Offenbach's La Belle Helen,  romanticism,  the smell of pine,  gladiolus,  Zen,  cream of mushroom soup,  subtlety,  when I write something that is truly good,  urban spaces,  craggy features,  anticipation of something good, exciting, or pleasant,  the word squish,  Doctor Who,  brain salad surgery,  Oscar Levant,  socialism,  magnetic poetry kits,  his hugs
