When I was about 12 years old, I one day opened up my atlas just to flip through it, and something caught my attention in a way few things had until that point - it was Pangea (It was an American-printed atlas, but the real spelling is Pangaea). She was the continent that existed when all landmasses were one, before the drift, before the divide.
When I got my first access to the Internet, I had no idea what to call myself, but the name Pangea leapt to mind, so that was that. It stuck, and I used it for years after. It felt right, to call myself by that name. It means something along the lines of "whole earth". It suited me, it suited the underlying belief that people are more than what they appear to be, more than just the sum of their parts.
I stopped using it after a time, around the time I got this domain, in fact. Going back to being the "real" me felt right, and has done so ever since. Funny thing is, though, I'll still answer to Pangea if I'm called by it.
