Disability does not care about your gender, ethnicity, religion, economic status, sexuality, education level, job status, nor anything else. If it wants you, it will come for you.

Posters I made that I share on my Bluesky account.

Don't tell disabled people not to limit themselves by their disabilities, then proceed to limit them by removing, or not providing, accessibility. We are not handicapped, handicapable, or differently abled. We are disabled. It's not a dirty word. You can say it. A disabled person does not owe you their story. A disabled person's accommodations exist to make things more accessible for them, not less accessible for you. Disability does not mean inability If someone's disability makes you feel uncomfortable, you should spend some reflective time thinking about why that is. Hint: It's got nothing to do with that person's disability. The most important thing to remember about disability is that you are not immune.
