I'd seen the SCTV spoof of The Grapes of Wrath before I'd seen the original. The only problem with that, is that the night after I saw the spoof, I had to go to a university film class that was featuring, you guessed it, the original The Grapes of Wrath.
I had trouble keeping a straight face.
"She done run off with the preacher, Tom!"
