Creative Idea of the Day - 2025 06
Every day on my Idealog account on Bluesky - except for the days I forget - I share a quick creative idea and archive the month's list here on the last day.
- Assemble a sculpture using only items in your junk drawer.
- Create a portrait using only words and text.
- Find and explore the oldest building in your town.
- Use a magnifying glass to focus on small objects or their parts - fabric textures, leaves, etc. - and draw or paint what you see.
- Create a playlist of songs that tell a story.
- Happy Anniversary to the Creative Idea of the Day! Celebrate anything you like by doing any creative thing you like.
- Go to a reading.
- Using a randomly generated group of words, develop a word-based game or puzzle using these words.
- What's a skill you'd love to learn? Start learning it.
- Decorate plain cardboard/shoe boxes for storage, decor, or gift-giving by covering them with magazine pages or repurposed wrapping paper.
- Create a stop motion film where the letters of a particular word rearrange themselves across a surface into different shapes or patterns.
- Make a list of things about the place you were born.

- Perform an act of kindness.
- Photograph a night time scene, like a cityscape or campfire.
- Create a collage using text from different poems and other material.

- If you could have any job in the world, what would it be?
- Capture a photo of a bridge or a tunnel.
- Make a list of favourite simple pleasures. Indulge in one!
