Colour concentrate
Here are a whole bunch of ideas that focus on colour in some way.
Monochromatic:
- Create a landscape using only shades of one colour.
Walk about it:
- Pick a colour before you go for a walk and look for things that colour. Take pictures of them and turn the photos into a collage. Or just enjoy them where they are.
Palette:
- Collect natural items and arrange them into a colour palette that you photograph.
- Choose a colour palette that represents your emotions, your moods, then use it to create something.
- Create a colour wheel where each colour represents a different emotion. Use them to express and track your emotions each day through drawings, swatches, images, or written descriptions.
- Create a piece using only primary colours. RGB or CMY.
Colourful:
- Photograph the most colourful objects you own.
- Capture some things that are your favourite colour.
- Create a landscape using "wrong" colours - pink air? orange sea? mauve trees?
- Make a list of favourite things that are your favourite colour.
- Take a picture through a piece of coloured film, or with that film covering the flash.
- Sketch a self-portrait in different shades of your favourite colour(s).
Crayonic:
- If you were a crayon, what colour would you be?
- Make some colouring pages.
