Invent:
You could invent a new constellation and the myth behind it - make something about a place you've never been but want to go - invent a holiday and celebrate it (don't forget appropriate snacks!) - DIY something for your home that you'd normally just buy ready made - or make something you love and give it away to a stranger.
Design:
You could design your own coat of arms - your own merit badges - a new logo, crest, or other symbol for yourself or a friend - a piece of jewellery or an accessory - or a treasure map that leads someone to a hidden surprise (a small gift or note).
Makerspace:
You could try a workshop with a local artisan, artist, or crafter - an upcycling workshop or project - create keychains or bag charms using small found objects - embroider a simple design onto a piece of clothing (or favourite words / quotations) - make some t-shirt yarn and create a wall-hanging with it and other fabric scraps.
Thingies:
You could make puppets or paper dolls - your own set of magnetic words for your fridge - DIY bath bombs - stickers or cards with positive messages you can leave in public places - envelopes out of decorative scrapbooking paper - a homemade greeting card - a personalised bookmark - something to beautify where you live - simple bookmarks/tabs by attaching ribbon to paper clips - your own set of magnetic words for your fridge - craft a small 3D object (and if you don't have a 3D printer, many public libraries have makerspaces that have them - you could make a poster for a cause you support or one for a fictional event - a zine or mini magazine - a mandala or geometric patterning - colouring pages - a sticky-note flipbook of something simple (or even animate a dream).
Artcraft:
You could create a landscape using only images cut from magazines and newspapers - make a self-portrait using only the shapes of the letters of your name - make a portrait using only words and text - make a piece of jewellery out of something that isn't jewellery (or make jewellery into things that aren't) - make some t-shirt yarn and create a wall-hanging with it and other fabric scraps - create a watercolour piece using only drips by tilting the paper in various directions (allow the colours to mix as they wish) - create a mixed media piece using old fabric, buttons, threads, and other notions - a monogram of your initials - a monochromatic mural - a map of an imaginary place or of your neighbourhood - a collage using magazine cutouts - a comic strip about a day in your life - a hand-stamped or embroidered fabric design - a piece of art inspired by a sound you hear - a one-act play - you could make something inspired by weather - a piece using old calendar pages as a base - or a collage piece where each element represents a different memory.
