Font
Create your own font out of items that you have around or that are important to you rather than carving things that look like letters. You could use any items you like, such a small toys, Lego, a jigsaw puzzle piece, keys, etc. In the manner of hieroglyphic stamps, ink them up and create your alphabet or mural.
Colour
Each day, think of a colour that resonates with you in some way. Not just blue, but "the blue jeans blue of early evening sky", or "the pale orange of Tiger ice cream". Try and create a swatch of that colour in your journal with any art supplies you have to hand and write about it. Or, create a monochromatic piece of art using only different shades of that colour.
Find
Pick a colour and a room in your home and try to find all the things in that room that are that colour. Take photos, create paint swatches, write about it, or find something else to do with it all.
Medictionary
Acquire a print dictionary and, word by word as the mood strikes, blot out the official definition and insert a new one based on you, your feelings, your experiences, etc. You can be as fanciful or as particular as you like. For example: comfort: a freshly made bowl of homemade soup.
