Patches
You will need:
- A selection of images of favourite art pieces.
- Printable fabric.
- Access to a printer.
- Embroidery materials.
- Sewing supplies.
- Backing fabric - optional.
Do:
- Choose your favourite parts of the images you've chosen.
- Print those chosen parts onto the fabric.
- You can try printing all of them on a single sheet, or print each on its own piece of fabric.
- You can print in colour or black and white.
- After printing, embroider each piece either faithfully or in a different set of colours.
- When done, attach the pieces together as a blanket, a pillow cover, a wall hanging, or something else.
- Attach your backing fabric, if applicable.
Notes:
- If you print each on its own fabric piece, make sure to leave enough room around the edges to give room to sew them together.
- You could even do this with photographs you've taken, and create a wall mural out of memories.
